Kelty Hearts are delighted to announce that Michael Paton has been appointed as Thomas O’Ware’s assistant manager.  Paton joins as part of the Maroon Machine’s coaching staff to assist player/manager O’Ware.

Paton is “delighted to be on board,” he told the club.  “I am really looking forward to the season ahead and meeting the players, staff and fans.”

With a playing career consisting of spells at Aberdeen, Queen of the South and Dunfermline Athletic, Paton has had an experienced career in Scottish football.  Paton also has coaching experience at Brechin City and most recently Albion Rovers, as assistant manager.

Speaking to the media team, O’Ware is “delighted to add Pates to the coaching staff.  Assistant manager is a position that will be crucial to allow me to focus on playing.  We both see football being played the same way.  We have had several meetings since I was given the job so to agree a deal with Paton is a big one for myself and the club.”
