Kelty Hearts are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Kai Kirkpatrick.  The 22 year-old signs for the Maroon Machine after a spell at Albion Rovers.

Making the jump up to League One, Kirkpatrick is “very excited for the new challenge ahead.  I can’t wait to get started, I’m ready to give everything for the club and show what I can do” he said.

A player that assistant manager Michael Paton knows well, Kirkpatrick made 31 appearances in the Lowland League last campaign.  He scored three times from midfield in a campaign where the Cliftonhill side finished sixth.

Manager Thomas O’Ware says that “the thing that stands out is his desire to go and play as high as he can.  He’s a player that Michael Paton has worked with and someone we think will add a lot of quality to the squad.  It will be his first time playing in the SPFL but I have no doubt he will do well because of his mindset and attitude.”
