Kelty Hearts are delighted to announce the signing of central midfielder Alex Ferguson.  The 21 year-old joins following the expiry of his contract at St Johnstone, after an impressive loan spell at Forfar Athletic.

Alex is “delighted to be on board.  I spoke with the manager about his ambitions and the way he wants to play, which makes me excited to get started.”

Ferguson featured 18 times for Forfar last season and was paramount to their turnaround in form which saw them avoid the bottom spot.  As well as his time at the Loons, he also had loan spells at East Fife and Queen of the South.  

Thomas O’Ware is delighted to bring Ferguson on board, admitting “Alex is someone I was very keen on bringing in as soon as I got the job.  He’s still young and has a lot of development left in him, and he fits the profile of the type of player we want at the club.  

There are so many qualities to his game that the team will benefit from.  He is a very welcome addition.”
