Tell Us about your decision to stay and how the contract extention talks came about?

The talks with the gaffer and board went well, I asked the manager to give me a bit of time over the summer so I could have a think over a few things, I was never going to sign elsewhere I just wanted to make sure everything was in place for me to come back focussed and ready to play my part. Once I decided I was playing it was a matter of getting the deal signed

What are your expectations for the season ahead?

expectations for me personally are to try start where I left off. I’ve  Loved every minute so far at the club and I’m hoping it can continue. Pre season is massive for me to get myself back up to speed and get back to my best  As a team we need to start the league campaign well and take each game as it comes and put ourselves in the best position we can for the run in at the end of the season.

Looking at the premier sports cup draw, what are your Thoughts?

It’s a tough group and it’s important to make a fast start. At the same time we understand it’s still very early in the season and the new squad will be getting used to each other so it’s an opportunity to build the chemistry in the squad ahead of the league campaign. It’s an exciting group with some big games so I’m looking forward to it.

How is it to play for and alongside tidser?

I’ve played with the gaffer for 6 or 7 seasons so it’s fairly natural to play alongside him. We know each others game well and compliment each other well I feel.

Playing for him as my manager is straight forward. He has my full respect and I know what he expects. He’s honest and up front and that’s important for us as a group.
