Thomas Falconer joins on loan from St Mirren

Thomas O’Ware has added to his squad with the signing of talented left-back Thomas Falconer on loan from St Mirren, subject to SFA approval.

The 18-year-old arrives at New Central Park having gained valuable experience in senior football last season during a loan spell with Dumbarton. Falconer made eight competitive appearances for the Sons as he continued his development and gained experience at SPFL level.

The youngster is already known to Kelty Hearts manager Thomas O’Ware, with the pair previously working together while O’Ware was involved with the Rangers youth academy.

Speaking on his move to New Central Park, Falconer said: “I am happy to be joining Kelty Hearts and I can’t wait to get going.”

The move was initially presented to Falconer by his parent club, with the youngster delighted to have the opportunity to continue his development at Kelty.

“Ever since they (St Mirren) told me about the loan move I’ve been really excited about the opportunity and I’m happy to see it done.”

O’Ware is looking forward to working with Falconer again and believes the youngster has the qualities to make an impact at New Central Park.

“Thomas is an excellent young player who I think will thrive with us. He has great technical qualities and reads the game well. Having worked with him at Rangers I’m looking forward to working with him again.”

Falconer has set his sights on helping the team achieve as much as possible during his time in maroon and white.

“My ambitions are to help the team as much as possible and be as high in the league table as possible.”

Everyone at Kelty Hearts would like to welcome Thomas to New Central Park and wish him every success during his loan spell in maroon and white.
