Kelty Hearts finally got their elusive first home win of the season by defeating Montrose 3-1. An Aaron Arnott penalty and a brace from Cammy Cooper clinched all three points as the Maroon Machine continued their upturn in form.
After an even and uneventful first half, the final 45 minutes saw all four goals of the contest. The breakthrough came from the penalty spot six minutes after the restart.

Luke McCarvel shimmied his way into the box and was taken down by Montrose full-back Ryan Williamson. From the spot, Aaron Arnott stepped up and dispatched into the bottom left corner despite Harry Sharp getting a hand to it.
The visitors would level up the encounter eleven minutes later through the talismanic Blair Lyons. From a counter-attack, Lyons picked up the ball on the edge of the box and ran across the face of goal before sneaking a finish past Sharp.
The Maroon Machine would have to wait just six minutes after the equaliser to retake the lead. McCarvel latched onto a loose ball and played through Lewis Moore, he drove to the byline and cut-back to Cooper who was arriving for a tap-in.

Cameron Cooper would double his tally for the afternoon and the overall advantage for Kelty in the 82nd minute. Arran Pettifer played through Luke McCarvel who was heavily involved in all three goals. He found some space to slide a pass through to Cooper, who calmly finished into the far corner to wrap up the win.
The win extends the run to one loss in the last five, with two wins in that spell. With three games to go, the pressure remains on Hamilton as Kelty seek to surpass the Accies off the bottom of the table.
