Neither side were able to come up with a winner in an entertaining 1-1 clash at New Central Park. Alloa took the lead early in the second half through Rangers loanee Calum Adamson before an Aaron Arnott screamer brought Kelty level.
Ten minutes after the restart the visitors took the lead. After a long ball down the right, Adamson ran onto a loose ball and fired from just outside the box. His strike rifled into the bottom corner giving Kyle Gourlay no chance.

Kelty Hearts got back on level terms in the 75th minute through midfielder Arnott. Luke McCarvel teed up Arnott from around 20 yards and his first time strike curled into the back of the net. That was the Kelty number eight’s fourth goal of the campaign.
The best chance for the Maroon Machine to grab all three points fell to Arnott, who had a busy afternoon. From an Innes Murray corner Kelty kept possession and Brydon redelivered from the left. His cross was flicked on by Clay to Arnott who had acres of space from six yards out. The goalscorer turned onto his left but his effort was straight at Liam McFarlane.
The Wasps spurned a golden opportunity to double their lead minutes before Arnott’s equaliser. Kurtis Roberts played an excellent through ball to Calum Gallagher who had timed his run to perfection. With just Gourlay to beat, the former Airdrie and Arbroath striker dragged his shot wide in front of the travelling fans.

Both sides had chances to win the game. Before his big chance, Gallagher had a volley fired over the bar from close range. Substitute James Graham also had a good chance which forced a decent save out of McFarlane.
Reflecting on the match to Kelty Hearts TV, assistant manager Michael Tidser believes “a point was probably a fair result. I saw a lot of positives in our play, there was loads of good play from us and perhaps we were unfortunate not to win it at the end.”
