Match Preview: Stenhousemuir v Kelty Hearts

Kelty Hearts travel to Ochilview this weekend to take on Stenhousemuir.  Kelty will be looking to bounce back after a defeat last time at home to Montrose.

Gary Naysmith’s side sit 5th in the League One table, having won one of their last five.  Last weekend they narrowly lost out to Alloa, so the Warriors will be keen to get back to winning ways.

In the first meeting between the teams this season, Kelty Hearts came out on top.  An early goal from Scott Allan and another from Ross Cunningham secured the three points at New Central Park.  The Maroon Machine have a 100% record in league games against Stenhousemuir.

Kelty come into this fixture on a mixed run of results.  Coming from two losses in September, Michael Tidser’s side bounced back with consecutive wins against Annan and Queen of the South – before losing to Montrose in the next home match.

Tam O’Ware will be missing for this one, having picked up two yellow cards in last week’s defeat.

Reflecting on that loss, Michael Tidser told Kelty Hearts TV “I’ve got food for thought going into next week for the starting lineup. I’ve thrown it to the players now, can we react from this.”
