Kelty Hearts are back on the road again as we travel to Dumfries to take on Queen of the South. It’s fifth versus sixth in the League One table as two sides look to push on for the remainder of the season.
The Maroon Machine have been a thorn in the Doonhamer’s side this season with Kelty winning both meetings so far. The most recent was at New Central Park with a Ross Cunningham brace securing a 2-0 win.

Last time at Palmerston Park was a memorable trip however with Kelty running out 5-1 winners. Another brace from Cunningham, a double for Williamson and a goal for Cleall-Harding saw Kelty run riot.
Charlie Mulgrew’s side will be keen to get their first win under the new management, following a narrow defeat midweek to the league leaders. When Ross Cunningham equalised in the 75th minute it looked as if Kelty would break a spell of six without a win; however Andy Winter scored the winner five minutes later.

Queen of the South had a mini poor run of three defeats at the beginning of February, however Peter Murphy’s side secured a 3-0 win last time out against Montrose.
Previewing the match to Kelty Hearts TV, Charlie Mulgrew said his squad “will look forward to it. We’ll go again and we need to find that way to threaten teams, be tighter at the back and give ourselves a chance.”
