In the final match of our Premier Sports Cup group, Kelty Hearts take on Premiership Livingston.  We make the journey to the Home of the Set Fare Arena to take on our second top-flight side of the week.

After Tuesday’s heroics of a draw and shoot-out win against Kilmarnock, we once again test ourselves against Livingston.  David Martindale’s team are back in the top-flight after a play-off promotion following one season in the second tier.

Livingston can top the group with a victory and providing that East Fife get something from their match against Kilmarnock.  The Lions have recorded two wins so far, beating East Fife and Brora 2-1 and 2-0 respectively, meanwhile losing out narrowly to Killie.

The last time the sides met was a 2-0 victory for Livi in the League Cup in 2022.  A penalty from Sean Kelly and a 77th minute goal from Phillip Cancar secured all three points.

Previewing the match to Kelty Hearts TV, Thomas O’Ware said “it’ll be another tough game against a very good Livingston side.  Thursday will be a case of bandaging them up, the squad is getting smaller and smaller with the bad luck of the injuries.”
