Attention turns to the KDM Evolution Trophy as Kelty Hearts welcome Stranraer.  Our visitors have won both of their opening games in the cup so far.

Stranraer have made a disappointing start to their League Two campaign and are winless in their opening five.  Having only picked up one draw, they would be bottom if not for Edinburgh City’s points deduction.

Chris Aitken’s team began their cup campaign with a 2-1 win over Alloa Athletic.  Goals from James Dolan and Sallu Turray secured the win over the League One side, before following this up with a 4-1 win over Rangers B.

Kelty Hearts will be hoping to bounce back in this competition after a home defeat to Celtic B.  Finlay Hale’s header decided the 1-0 win for the young Hoops.  Meanwhile in the league, two narrow defeats on the bounce leaves us desperate to turn our fortunes around.

A win on Saturday will leave us with six points in the table after three matches, with three still to play.
