Attention turns to the KDM Evolution Trophy as Kelty Hearts welcome St Mirren B.  It’s a chance for the Maroon Machine to put Tuesday’s defeat behind them and get back to winning ways.

In matchday five of the cup, Kelty Hearts sit 12th in the table with seven points.  As the top 22 progress, positive results in our final two matches will be enough to see us through.

This is Kelty’s penultimate fixture in the league phase, with Hearts B still to play.  Last time out in the cup was the thrilling 3-3 draw away to Dumbarton, with an Arnott brace and Robbie Cole goal securing the point.

Our visitors are 21st in the league phase and are the second highest ranked B team.  The Paisley youngsters have picked up a win away to Alloa and a draw away to Annan so far.

Previewing the match to Kelty Hearts TV and the overall injury status of the squad, Thomas O’Ware admits “we need to be careful with the squad.  It’s tough, if you had a fully fit squad you could go full strength again and try to get to that level.  I know we’ve got a couple coming back but we don’t want to lose the ones who have been playing Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday for us.”
