Kelty Hearts are back in action at New Central Park as Queen of the South visit. Peter Murphy’s side currently sit seventh and are four points outside of the play-offs.

Tuesday night’s dramatic 3-2 win over Arbroath lifts Kelty Hearts up to third in the table. Three points separate Alloa in fourth and Arbroath at the top as the league table proves to be tight and competitive.
The Doonhamers ended a three game winless run in the league by beating high-flying Stenhousemuir at Palmerston Park. Goals from Adam Brooks and former Kelty man Reece Lyon secured all three points for Queen of the South.
Last time the two sides met was a successful away day for Kelty. Braces for Ross Cunningham and Scott Williamson in addition to Sam Cleall-Harding’s first goal for the club secured an emphatic 5-1 win on the road.

Since then the Dumfries side have struggled for form, picking up only two wins in their last seven league games. However, players such as Reece Lyon and Lewis O’Donnell will be familiar to Kelty fans having spent time at New Central Park.
Previewing the game to Kelty Hearts TV, manager Michael Tidser said “they have good players as well so we know what to expect from them. I know we beat them 5-1 but Queens are a good side so it’s up to us to try and win the game especially after Tuesday night.”
