Kelty Hearts are back at New Central Park to host Peterhead.  Last season’s League Two champions make their first league visit to Kelty in three seasons.

Following on from last week’s crucial clash at Cove, it’s another big game for the Maroon Machine.  Four points separate ninth placed Kelty and eighth placed Peterhead, with the former having played one less.

A win for Thomas O’Ware’s side gives us a good opportunity to leapfrog the Blue Toon and get out of the relegation play-off spot.  For Peterhead, however,  they know a win would be pivotal in putting some distance between them and the bottom two.

Kelty Hearts will be hoping to build on last week’s much-needed win away to Cove Rangers.  A penalty from Innes Murray gave the Maroon Machine the lead before Joseph Teasdale secured all three points in the dying stages.

For the visitors, they themselves picked up an impressive 2-1 win against Alloa at the Balmoor Stadium.  A quickfire double from Max Barry and Kieran Shanks gave Jordan Brown and Ryan Strachan’s side a strong lead before Steven Buchanan pulled one back for the Wasps.  The result ended a run of three league games without a win.

The last meeting between the two teams happened last season in the Premier Sports Cup group stage.  A Max Barry goal was enough for Peterhead to pick up a 1-0 win away from home.
