It’s another massive game in league one as Kelty Hearts take on Montrose at New Central Park. With the gap closed to just two points to Hamilton Academical, we all know how important three points would be.
The visitors currently sit sixth in the league table and are four points behind Queen of the South in the final promotion play-off spot. The Gable Endies missed a golden chance to close the gap to a single point when they lost out on Tuesday night.

Goals from Callum Sandilands and Lewis Gibson saw Montrose leading Cove Rangers 2-1 with 20 minutes to go in Angus. However, a Mitch Megginson inspired comeback saw Paul Hartley’s side win it late via Adam Emslie.
Thomas O’Ware and his side have given themselves a fighting chance to avoid the automatic relegation spot with recent results. Last week a point against 10 man Queen of the South chipped away at the deficit, although it could’ve been more.
Kelty Hearts have had Montrose’s number in the meetings at Links Park this season. A 2-1 win in August was then followed up with a 1-1 draw last month. However, Montrose won convincingly 3-0 at New Central Park earlier this season.

The Maroon Machine could feasibly end the afternoon outside of the bottom spot.
Previewing the match to Kelty Hearts TV, Thomas O’Ware said “we’ll need to work hard. We know we’ve had a long season but for us it’s just started, we’ve got a chase on our hands.”
