Kelty Prepare for Tough Caley Thistle Visit

The league leaders are in town as Kelty Hearts take on Inverness Caledonian Thistle.  The New Central Park faithful will be hopeful that Kelty can build on two successive draws as we search for that first home win of the league campaign.

Last time out, Kelty were denied what would’ve been an important win away to Cove Rangers.  The Maroon Machine led for a large chunk of the game thanks to Jack Brydon, however Cooper Masson’s late strike meant Kelty had to settle for a point.

Inverness have had a fantastic season and are currently five points ahead of nearest competitors Stenhousemuir.  The top two met last weekend, where the ten men of Caley Thistle held on for a 1-1 draw.

Caley Thistle are also coming off the back of KDM Evolution Trophy success after booking their place in the final.  A 2-1 win over Championship Ayr United means the Highlanders will meet Raith Rovers in the final.

Last time Kelty Hearts and Inverness faced off, the two sides battled out a 2-2 draw.  An Innes Murray brace gave Kelty the lead away from home, before goals from Danny Devine and Chanka Simba brought the hosts level.

Former Kelty favourite Alfie Bavidge leads the line for Caley Thistle.  The striker has been impressive over two spells on loan at the Caledonian Stadium.

A win for either side could have big implications at both ends of the League One table.
