Kelty Hearts look to bounce back against Edinburgh City

Kelty Hearts welcome Edinburgh City to New Central Park as they look to continue their 100% league home record.

It’s three home wins from three for Kelty Hearts as we prepare for the visit of free-scoring Edinburgh City. The Maroon Machine has a contrasting away form however which culminated with a 4-1 defeat to Clyde last week.

Edinburgh City were involved in the SPFL’s first ten goal game since 2018 when they defeated Stirling Albion 7-3 at Meadowbank last weekend. Hat-tricks from Innes Lawson and Keir Foster and one from Jason Jarvis saw the Citizens win after leading 5-0 at half time.

Michael McIndoe’s side currently sit eighth in the table despite beginning with a five point deduction. If it weren’t for their deduction, they would be sat fifth just outside fourth on goal difference.

The last time the sides met was in the 2024/25 League One season. Kelty Hearts won all four meetings including 3-1 and 3-2 wins at New Central Park and 3-0 and 4-1 away wins.

This is the first of three consecutive home matches for Kelty Hearts, with two KDM Evolution Trophy matches against Hearts B and Montrose following the Edinburgh clash.

A win for Kelty Hearts could lift Kelty Hearts into the top four depending on other results, while Edinburgh City will be keen to continue their ascend up the table.

Tickets for the match are available to buy here.
