It’s the beginning of a new era at New Central Park as Charlie Mulgrew takes charge of his first match as Kelty Hearts manager. Alongside assistant Mark Kerr, Annan Athletic will be the first opponents for the new management team.

Kelty Hearts go into this one sitting just outside of the play-offs with a game in hand over Queen of the South and Stenhousemuir who sit third and second respectively. Annan are currently eighth in the table, two points above the resurgent Inverness in the relegation play-off spot.
Wullie Gibson’s side go into this one with one win in their last five, meanwhile Kelty will be keen to get back to winning ways after two goalless draws to kick off 2025.
The Maroon Machine have enjoyed success over the Galabankies this campaign, winning both previous meetings. In September, Kelty won 3-0 at New Central Park with goals from Scott Mercer, Lewis Moore and Scott Williamson. The next fixture at Galabank Stadium saw Kelty Hearts win 2-0 with Williamson and Connor Allan on the scoresheet.

Striker Liam McLeish could make his debut for Kelty Hearts after signing on loan from Queen’s Park on Wednesday. The 20 year-old became Charlie Mulgrew’s first signing for the club after making the temporary move from the Glasgow club.
