Match Preview: Inverness CT v Kelty Hearts

Kelty Hearts travel to the Highlands to take on struggling Inverness Caledonian Thistle.  Damaged by issues off the pitch, Caley Thistle sit 15 points adrift at the bottom following their point deduction last month.

In the earlier meeting, the two sides played out a tight goalless draw at New Central Park.  Since then, Inverness have been in inconsistent form picking up one win from their last six games including four draws.

Scott Kellacher has taken charge of the first team with striker Billy McKay as his assistant following Duncan Ferguson’s dismissal.  Five first team players have been let go as well by the administrators.

For Kelty, Michael Tidser’s side will be hopeful to turn around a patchy run of form.  Defeat last week by Stenhousemuir was the fourth defeat in the last six league games.

The mixed run of form, however, goes to prove how tight and competitive the league is.  Kelty sit fifth in the table going into this round of fixtures, however are only three points above Dumbarton in ninth, and two points off Cove Rangers at the top.

Previewing the game last week, assistant manager Kevin McDonald told Kelty Hearts TV “they’ve got their own problems but so do we.  We need to work hard and make sure we’re at it – it needs to be better.”
