Match Preview: Inverness CT v Kelty Hearts

Kelty Hearts make the journey to the Highlands for a vital game against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.  This is Kelty’s penultimate away game of the season and could prove to be a vital one.

One point separates seventh place Kelty Hearts and Inverness in eighth, meanwhile Annan sit four points behind Kelty.  A win for the Maroon Machine could see us seven ahead of ninth place with three left to play.

However, Inverness themselves will be desperate for a win to secure their status in League One next season.  Scott Kellacher’s side would be sat in second had it not been for their fifteen point deduction.

Matches between Kelty Hearts and Inverness have been tight this season, with two draws and a win for the Highlanders.  The fixture in Inverness finished 1-1, with a Ross Cunningham free-kick cancelling out Luis Longstaff’s opener.

Last time out, Inverness beat Cove Rangers 3-0 in Aberdeen thanks to a Keith Bray hat-trick.  Prior to that result, they were without a win in their last three.

Kelty Hearts will be looking to stop a torrid run of six without a win.  This spell came to a head last week with a disappointing 6-0 loss to Dumbarton.  However, the squad will be galvanized for the run-in as we look to maintain the gap to the relegation play-off.
