Kelty Hearts return to William Hill Scottish League One action as Cove Rangers visit New Central Park.

Last time out in the SPFL Trust Trophy Kelty progressed through to the fourth round after beating League Two side Elgin City.  A brace for Craig Johnston and a goal from Scott Williamson secured an away tie with Dunfermline.  Meanwhile, Cove Rangers were beaten at home by Lowland League outfit East Kilbride.

In the league, the Aberdeen based Cove Rangers have struggled and currently sit 9th.  With only one point in their opening four matches, a 1-0 win against Montrose looked to turn their fortunes around before the cup exit.

However Paul Hartley’s side were on top in this fixture last season, with two draws and two Cove wins in the 2023/24 campaign.  Michael Tidser will be aware of the threat and quality in the Balmoral Stadium side.

The game comes after a successful Kelty for the club, with Tidser and Ross Cunningham winning manager and player of the month respectively.  Additionally, new signing Sam Cleall-Harding could make his debut after arriving on loan from Dundee United.

For the Maroon Machine this game is a chance to extend the unbeaten start to the season and get another three points on the board.
