Kelty Hearts are delighted to announce the loan signing of midfielder Matthew Falconer from Partick Thistle FC, subject to SFA approval.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder makes the move from the Championship side as he looks to continue his development with regular senior football.

Falconer came through the youth system at Celtic before joining Partick Thistle, where he made his senior debut as a teenager. He spent part of last season gaining valuable experience with Linlithgow Rose before returning to Firhill and featuring for Thistle’s first-team squad.
On the move to Kelty Matthew added: “I’m really looking forward to the move to Kelty Hearts. I’m excited for the opportunity to get some valuable game time and experience and to get going with the boys.”
A creative midfielder capable of playing in advanced areas, Falconer has already gained experience of senior football despite his young age and arrives at New Central Park with plenty of potential.
When asked about the move Falconer added: “The loan move came about through discussions between the clubs, and when I heard about the opportunity, it was something I was keen to take up.”

Matthew keen to develop his game told us: “I want to get a good run of games for the team and hopefully provide a few goals and assists along the way.”
Manager Thomas O’Ware is pleased to add another exciting young player to his squad. “Matthew is an exciting young midfielder and someone we believe has a lot of potential. There are big things expected of him at Partick Thistle and we’re looking forward to helping him continue his development here at Kelty.
“He’ll bring energy to our midfield and has an eye for goal, which are qualities we feel can add something to the squad. We’re looking forward to working with him and seeing what he can bring to the team.”
Welcome to Kelty Hearts, Matthew!
