It is the final match day in the Premier Sports Cup group stage as we travel to Glasgow to take on Queen’s Park. This will be the first time the sides have met competitively, as the newly built ‘City Stadium’ at Lesser Hampden is put to use.
In order to progress through the group, Kelty would have to defeat the Championship side and hope that Peterhead’s trip to Easter Road ends in a draw with the League Two side winning the bonus point. For the hosts, a win looks likely to see them through either as group winners or as one of the best second placed teams due to their high goal difference.
The Maroon Machine will be hoping to put the disappointment of Tuesday night’s defeat behind them. The Glasgow outfit come off the back of two heavy wins against Peterhead and Elgin and a resounding loss to Hibs.

With the Scottish League One season kicking off next weekend, Michael Tidser told Kelty Hearts TV that his attention won’t be taken away this weekend’s match. “The players know that if they want to start the league campaign then they need to put in a good performance on Saturday” he said. “Since I’ve been here it’s always been the next game is just as important as any other one. For us it’s putting in a good performance and trying to win the game.”
