Kelty Hearts will play at New Central Park for the first time in the 2024/25 William Hill Scottish League One season as we host Stenhousemuir. The Maroon Machine will be hoping to build on the positive point gained in Montrose on the opening day.
Stenhousemuir had an extremely successful 2023/24 campaign where they were promoted to League One as champions. They kicked off the season at Ochilview last week with an impressive 2-1 win over Arbroath, with goals from Ross Taylor and Kyle Banner. Gary Naysmith’s side have former Kelty ‘keeper Darren Jamieson in their ranks.
The last time the two sides shared the same division was the 2021/22 campaign in League Two, where Kelty beat the Warriors on all four occasions. These included 1-0 and 2-0 wins at home and notably a 4-1 win at Ochilview.

Michael Tidser’s side will be looking to build on a positive performance up in Montrose on the opening day. Ross Cunningham’s brilliant strike in the 68th minute cancelled out Craig Brown’s opener, and on another day the Maroon Machine could’ve secured all three points with some late chances going amiss.
Tidser looked forward to this weekend’s game in the post-match interview at Montrose by saying “in our first home league game of the season we want to try and put on a good performance and back up a good point on the road with good form at home.”
