Kelty Hearts are delighted to announce the return of Alasdair Davidson, who joins the club on loan from Dunfermline Athletic.
The defender returns to New Central Park having spent time with Kelty last season, where he gained valuable regular first-team football and quickly became an important member of the squad.
After returning to Dunfermline for pre-season, Alasdair has now agreed to make the move back to Kelty in search of further game time as he continues his development.
“I’ve soent a lot of time on the bench with Dunfermline since coming back from pre-season. I spoke with the gaffer at Dunfermline and we agreed the best thing for me is to go somewhere to get game time. Kelty had reached out and that was it really. I am excited to be coming back. It’s somewhere where I feel I am valued and for me that’s really important.”

Reflecting on his previous spell at the club, “My time at Kelty was really beneficial for me. Going into a different environment with a good group of lads helped me grow as a person and as a player. The experience and playing regular football really helped my development.”
Alasdair is now looking forward to rejoining the squad and helping Kelty Hearts in their push for promotion back to League One.
“I’m excited to playing with the club again and working with the manager and coaches. Hopefully I can support the push for promotion back into League One while gaining more regular game time and experience at Kelty which will support my development as a player and ultimately help me compete for a place in Pars 1st team.”

Thomas O’Ware was pleased to bring the defender back to New Central Park, particularly with recent injuries affecting the defensive options.
“Ali did very well when he came to Kelty on loan last year. With recent injuries to the back line it was an area we had to strengthen and Ali does just that. He’s a strong physical presence and will be a welcome addition to the squad.”
Everyone at Kelty Hearts is delighted to welcome Alasdair back to New Central Park and wishes him every success during his time with the club.
