It’s a real privilege to welcome everyone to New Central Park for Saturday’s game against Montrose.
It’s certainly been a more challenging start to the season than we would have hoped for, but this group has plenty of ability and I’m firmly behind the players and the staff around me. Saturday gives us a great opportunity to test ourselves against League One opposition and, more importantly, to put into practice the things we have been working on.
On a personal level, it’s been a turbulent couple of years. Since leaving the club in January last year, I never imagined that my journey would bring me back to Kelty Hearts in this way as interim manager, this is a great football club, one that means a lot to me, and I’m proud to be back.

That brings me to the supporters. We need you with us.
Football is not just about what happens on the pitch. The atmosphere created around the team can make a huge difference, particularly during difficult moments in a game. New Central Park has always been known for its noise, its energy and the connection between the stands and the players. So on Saturday, let’s bring that back.
Get behind the players, make some noise and create that buzz that New Central Park is known for. It really is infectious, when the supporters are enjoying themselves and getting behind the team, the players feel it, the staff feel it and everyone connected with Kelty Hearts feels it.
We have a good opportunity on Saturday to put a positive performance in front of our supporters. We know the challenge that awaits us, but we’re ready for it.
I’m firmly behind this squad, and I hope you’ll be firmly behind them too.
