We’re excited for our return to league action this weekend with a trip to face The Spartans, who are a good side and will provide us with another tough test. We’ve had some positive results and performances this season, and the challenge now is turning those moments into consistency. We all want to begin putting a run together and, ultimately, move ourselves up the league table and after a week away from league business our focus is firmly back on getting points on the board.
The squad continues to manahe a number of injuries, it’s something every club needs to do and we have players who are getting closer to returning, which is encouraging. Until we get some of those players back, it’s important that we look after the players we have available and manage them properly. Everyone in the squad has an important role to play, and we need to make sure we’re getting the very best from the players who are fit and ready to go.

We know the quality Spartans have and there are no easy games in this league, but we have to approach the game with confidence and the same hunger and togetherness we’ve shown in our better performances this season.
It was great to see the supporters behind the team last weekend, and that support really does make a difference to everyone involved with the club. Everyone at the club knows travelling to away games isn’t always easy for supporters, especially in the current climate. The time, cost and commitment involved in following your team on the road doesn’t go unnoticed, and we genuinely appreciate everyone who makes the effort to be there with us.
For those who can’t make the trip this weekend, we understand and we look forward to welcoming you back to New Central Park in a couple of weeks. For those travelling to Spartans, get behind the team, make yourselves heard and let’s go out there and bring something back up the road with us.
